See what colors you like, pick and choose, eliminate some you don't like. Make a decision and paint your walls. If you have a curtain or a favorite kitchen towel, coordinate or pick a color from it. Go for it!
Pick any colour you love. Having said that, the more "appetizing" colours usually have more staying power. You don't want to have to change it too soon, because it is too "off the wall", makes it hard to see, or makes you ill when you eat.
