Brr! Drafty windows- how to cut the draft?
I have 3 sets of windows configured like this...very drafty, How to you winterize them? There is nothing in the corner to stick tape to. Thank you
Still have the piece - Stick it back with wood glue and wood fill, rub down and re finish to match existing. Otherwise, cut new wood to fit and use same method.
thank you! Our brother in law was saying we had to reframe the whole door way! Like your fix better!
Do you really need to fix this? I'm not sure i understand the photo.. is this a structural problem that affects the use of the door? or just a messy area that you want to cover up?
buy a furing strip and cover it.
Thank you . Sounds much better than reframing the whole door!
I have managed to tear off the decorative wood around 4 doors in my house (my electric wheelchair is a very efficient demolition device) We have gone the simplest route of purchasing trim from large box stores, stain to match existing trim and replace the entire door trim so there is not a glued or patched look. Took less than 1 hr including the shopping trip! Just measure twice, cut once!
I vote for just a superficial cover up . It would not be worth it to me to take the whole thing apart! Maybe some white paint ?
Thank you!
