That will depend on your environment.What will hold up
Both will require maintenance. I would prefer metal if it is powder bond coated as it will require none.
Wood... metal is too hot in the summer.
inlike wood better because it feels cozy...but def treated!
There is an all weather wood that works well. I believe metal would conduct too much heat in the summer.
Either is going to need regular maintenance. Actually composite decks need the least maintenance.
Wood, metal would be hot in summer and slippery in water
Metal can be slippery if you get snow and ice in the winter. Also needs painting and wood decks need maintenance unless you invest in something rather expense.
If you can afford it, I would invest in the vinyl decking.
