What kind of tile, and how is it fastened to the ceiling..... screwed, glued, drop ceiling?
If its glued, most just apply 1/4" dry wall over the ceiling.

Hope you tested those tiles first as many of them are asbestos.
Didn't test The tiles. Wouldn't know how to anyway. I did have 2 fans going and the basement door was open. I also had a mask on. It was a three hour job. Hopefully I didn't hurt my lungs.
