If you have aluminum siding the color is baked on so you can just get a can of paint remover from Wall Mart, apply it with a brush (wear gloves) and after a few minutes scrape it off with a putty knife. You may have to re-apply the paint remover more times until the pain is all removed.

Hello Leesa, Unfortunately I do not know which post you saw nor where you saw it so I entered a search for POPPIES PAINTED ON ALUMINUM and the following link is the result. Thank Goodness YOU know what picture you are looking for because I would never find it in all of these pictures of poppies ! LOL Thanks for using Hometalk and I DO hope you find what you are looking for and have fun painting your own picture!

and artist Donald Sultan used roofing tar with his paintings too (which could be the black outlines you saw): https://www.lococofineart.com/artists/donald-sultan/
Here is his sculpture of poppies on an aluminum base:

And about half way dow nTHIS page are 3 different pics of poppies painted on smooth aluminum foil done by school children but no mention of what in particular was used for the outlines nor the flowers:

I found this one also but it doesn't mention at all what type of paint was used:
