dip cotton fabric in paint and put it over like a bandaid on the outside.. it will dry hard and fill the holes.

I use caulk from the hardware store....it works on metal roofs even in freezing weather.
If you go to Lowes,Home Depot or a similar place,talk to the person in the roofing department about can of roofing compound or cool seal to put on the bad spots.It can take the heat and the cold because it expands and contracts.Does the said roof have enough pitch for the water to run freely off?
Why don't you replace the panel that's leaking?
I've had, and fixed the same problem. I used a tube of silicone, the kind that dries firm. I identified the holes (something must have been screwed to the ceiling at one time) and squeezed a drop size portion into the hole. I did not try to flatten it. A little light still comes through, but no water. Good luck.
