I have several Anna Lee Christmas figures made from felt fabric. Some have mold/mildew on the faces. Is there a safe way to remove the stain?
Get a new car. Seriously, they are just like homes when it comes to mold and mildew. If it's a lot, you'll have to tear it down to the metal, clean it, bleach it, and then put carpet, seats, etc. back in. Don't leave anything moldy behind. Replace it. Mold grows. You breathe it, you'll get sick. Not worth it. Wear particulate barrier masks when working with it. Good luck.
Depending on how bad, I would wipe everything down with rubbing alcohol. Chances are it is in the carpet too so I would take to a professional car detailer and let them do their magic - just let them know about the mold in advance as the workers health is important too. Expect to pay extra due to the mold dangers and extra precautions necessary.
I agree taking it to a detail shop. Make sure you explain the situation. It just doesn't involve the carpeting, upholstery, and surfaces. The ventilation system, inside door panels, may also be affected and need to be cleaned.
I would take the advice of Naomie, & William. Good Luck!

There is a treatment, we used a mix of water and teatree oil; google for the exact measurements. It worked well for us. Rubbing alcohol would dry out the vinyl and make it crack.
Vinegar kills mold. I've never used anything else.
