Try peppermint plants. Works for mosquitoes also.
I've often heard that spiders hate mint tea, vinegar, citrus and eucalyptus and tobacco. So making a spray of any of these may help. Rubbing citrus peel in corners and around door and window frames may be a natural option. Good luck!
I rented a duplex once that was more or less in the woods. Had a horrible time with spiders because of the leaf litter under the deck. Raked it all out and my spider population decreased dramatically. I had dogs at the time so didn't want to spray either.
I have had great luck with peppermint and a water spray. Great to use around windows and doors. Leaves a lovely smell as well.
Just keep wiping the webs away the spiders get tired of rebuilding the webs and eventually will move on out...it works just takes several times of wiping out webs simple no chemicals and no cost!!!
mothballs on the ground and peppermint spray everywhere else. peppermint will keep almost all bugs away and even squirrels and varmints, its just hard to use it because of rain, but some plants would sure help, and moth balls are great deterents too.
Use citronella wax in the areas that they tend to build the webs, I saw this on a british cleaning show
Dried hedge apples will deter spiders.
But I would use spider spray or a good perimeter spray on foundation and around doors and windows. There is a spider web spray that deters spiders from building webs. It really is amazing. I used on a pole barn wall and I have not had any spider or spider webs for years - untreated surfaces right next to treated have webs.
