Mineral spirits, with paper towels and maybe a scrubber tool. Friend if mine used xylene but I don't know if that's better or not.
For forty years I have removed them this way: Use paper toweling to blot off all the oil you can then sprinkle kitty litter on the stain. Grind it into the oil with your shoe until it's powder. Sweep this up and discard, then repeat the kitty litter ground into it and leave it on for a day or so. It works every time. Our driveway has always looked brand new and people ask us how we do it. A guest accidentally dropped a can of motor oil in our drive way right after he had opened it. He felt so bad about it. We told him not to worry, he was amazed!
Cheap, clay cat litter. Cover well with the litter... let it sit for a day or so, then remove and wash with water hose. I would probably add some dawn dish water solution along with water hose.
Apply good old-fashioned clay cat litter to soak up as much as you can. After sweeping up apply dawn dish soap full strength and rinse.
Wow! Something I always wondered about and just figured it couldn't be done. Thanks!
I use kitty litter! after 24 hrs I sweep it up, doing it a 2nd time if necessary, works on all vehicle fluids! :)
make a thick paste of strong biological washing powder and a small amount of water, paste it on with a trowel, and leave it a couple of days. rinse it off with hot water, you may have to do it a couple of times, but it will gradually fade each time you do it.
