A tapestry or a quilt? A tapestry is a woven product. A quilt block might be what you are looking to have the students make. You need a tightly woven cotton fabric and need to pre wash and iron before cutting the squares for each stident so the end result does not pucker. Any craft or hobby store will have an array of fabric paints to use for this project. Joann's, Michael's, Hobby Lobby, A.C. Moore, etc. Find someone that has a knowledge of sewing or quilting to help you out. Great project!
Ground fabric - Sailcloth Scrap fabrics (Rags) Fabric Paints. Theme "The Holidays"
Hello Diane! I saw the most clever idea the other day. It was a tapestry made of favorite t-shirts that meant something to the individual. Each student can bring in the t-shurt they want to represent them in the tapestry. The front of the t- shirt -- typically where the image or logo is -- can be cut into a 12 inch by 12 inch square (or whatever size works well) and sewn together. Once all together, an appropriate backing can be sewn on. Each student can even put their name in the lower right-hand corner of their square with fabric marker . The end result is a colorful personal beautiful tapestry and represents each student in the class.
An inexpensive option would be to buy felt by the yard. You can get shapes and letters to iron on. Or you can sew on gem or get stick on ones. You can also buy inexpensive muslin or cotton fabric that each person can decorate , use fabric paint or whatever. Use stich witchery which is an sticky webbing that you place between the item you are attaching and the tapestry, or you can sew it on.
Yes, as a student I often encounter problems during my studies, especially when writing papers. It's good that I've known specialists https://www.topwritersreview.com/reviews/writinguniverse/ for a long time who help me in learning and writing a well-designed paper. With them, my performance is only getting better.
