Did it break off at ground level and fall over? If the 4x4 posts were set in the dirt this is typical. You are better off digging a hole with a post hole digger, cut the bottom off a large yogurt or margarine tub, oil the inside and set it over the hole and push into the ground to fill it with cement, and then set an anchor for your post into the cement. Make sure both posts and anchors are level. I would use 2 wooden stakes and a string with a level to achieve this.
When digging your hole if you live in a freezing area, make sure you dig the hole down below permafrost level.
Hi Jenny, can you send a picture or two? That would really help to understand more about what it is that you need. Thanks!
Hello Jenny Masuda :) What is wrong with the fence? In which way does it need "fixing"? You will have to define the problem so an answer can be found. Thank you :)
Photos would really aid in determining what you're talking about.
What I really should have asked was: if my fence has different styles of panels on it, is there an easy way to make all the panels blend in, other than just painting them. I'm thinking of adding some decorative bordering so that the different styles are not so obvious. I'm short on time so didn't want to replace the mis-matched panels. Thanks!
