Get an extender, to put on the end of the down spout. You can get these at a large hardware, and we did this, and it is GREAT!!!! I am so glad that I did this. They come in diff lengths, or if you want to keep it above ground, you can do this too, or dig a trench, and put this into the soil., then nature will soak it and use it. You will NOT have to worry about this again. I am thrilled to find this, and to solve our problem, so I am passing this on to you. Just make sure it is all the over your down spout, ok? Best wishes, J.
Here are some on Amazon that come in various colors that you might like; https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_4_6?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=gutter+extension&sprefix=gutter%2Caps%2C226&crid=22KP8RIA0AQEX
there are concrete splash guards that disperse the water. I've also seen ones that look like frogs, goblins, etc
how about a small or large rain barrel attached to the end of the down spout. You could decorate it to match your garden. 🌸🌺🌻🌼
PS. Then use that water to water your garden 🙂

There are plastic extensions you can buy for under $10, they are sold at stores like Home Depot, Lowes, etc. You attach to your downspout, then pull out the extension to where you want the water to go. They come in white, brown, beige, and green, so you can choose which color is least obtrusive in your garden. The one I have is nearly 10 years old, still working fine. Check the Home Depot website, they are on there.
Hello Darnell, I have to say there's nothing that looks more snake-like than a long black plastic drain spout extension winding through the bushes/grass and sure to keep any squirrels, chipmunks, mice, cats, dogs, snake-fearing folks etc from entering your yard! LOL oh my goodness! I would be one of those snake-fearing folks that would have to take several looks before knowing for certain ;)
Here is the way THIS OLD HOUSE would do it:

My sister said SHE would dig a trench leading from the down spout to the driveway (of course grading it downhill) and line it with stones so that when it rains the water will leave the downspout, enter the trench and be diverted away from the garden and into the street (as shown in pic #50 below). You can see an image of what she had in mind at this link (along with tons of other ideas) and basic instructions on how to make a beautiful dry creek (I like #27, 37, and 47 LOL): https://www.backyardboss.net/50-super-easy-dry-creek-landscaping-ideas-you-can-make/
Good Luck Darnell, and thanks foru sing HOMETALK for answers ;)
I have seen "roll up extensions" for drain spouts....they roll up until the water comes down and then they unroll to let the water drain out....don't ask me where I saw them but you might google them.
There are accordion like extensions you can but that are either white or brown. They attach to the end of your downspout and you can direct the water wherever you want. I have the brown ones in my garden. You can even bury them.
