You may actually need a tune-up with cleaning to get all the fleece fibers cleaned out of the machine's motor. In your instructional pamphlet, there should be a how-to section as well as a troubleshooting chapter. Perhaps your machine is still under warranty (being less than 1 year old); never hurts to ask!
First I would look at the owners manual. If lost, look up on line for your model.
Agree with PJ's comment that the cause may very likely be the fleece fibres. If the machine is only a year old, I wouldn't think that it would need oiling yet.
Try cleaning out under the feet dogs and in the bobbin area with Qtips dabbed in rubbing alcohol. Keep using clean Qtips until they come out clean, without any lint on them. If you can open up the machine, clean around the areas where the needle mechanisms go up and down.
Hello Bonnie witlam, First of all, in case you need it in the future, here is a link to the PDF version of the manual for the BROTHER PROJECT RUNWAY sewing machine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83rUbXhrAyc
Okay, next, I think with all the fuzzy sewing you've been doing I'll bet you also have a lot of lint build up too. The link below is going to show you how to oil your machine AND how to correctly clean it too BEFORE you oil it ;)

Good luck and thanks for asking HOMETALK for help :)
Can you tell exactly where the squeaking is coming from? Is isn't just from the rubber on the plug, or the rubber on the bottom feet?
oiling is usually easy. Take apart what you can easily and use a tiny wisk broom or vacuum out the lint, then put a drop in all moving parts. if the instruction book dosen't help, you can go online to the mfr for help
Start simple- clean the bobbin area with a tiny brush, and use compressed air to get out loose fibers. Then try sewing something non-fuzzy and see if it's better. Last resort get it tuned up (or check warranty- sometimes they honor warranty by mail or at select places).
