get over it and THROW THEM AWAY.
I use extra plastic lids to put under things like cooking oil, syrup, liquid detergent, cleanser, etc. Anything that has the potential to make a big mess.
@ Lee - wouldn't it be better to recycle if possible? I love Ssherman1's idea so much I'm going to start doing that! I keep a lot of extra lids in my craft room. I use them to put under smaller items I may be painting, staining or gluing. Saves my work table. You could also put them under potted plants as a little extra protection for your tables, shelves or wherever you have them.
Do you have a thrift store donation site? Label them with approx. size, etc. Someone may need them to replace their missing or broken ones. I can't see throwing them away if they are useful to someone.
Give to Goodwill or another thrift store. They are just clutter.
JUST RECYCLE
Love the idea of putting them under bottles of soap and oil, etc. Always have oil on my cupboard floor where I have my oil bottles and dish soap!
Red See through Lids 5" square! My first thought was These could somehow become Christmas Lighting instead of glass in a Lantern maybe using those flickering Battery tea Lights. If you wanted to cut them up, they could be Plant Pot Markers or Christmas Tags or Pricing Labels..........
I love to use mine to hold small beads I am crafting with. It helps to keep them from getting away from me. Plus, where they are see through (and come in so many different colors) I recently turned a shadow box into a sun catcher that looks like stain glass! It's beautiful actually and was a fairly easy project.
