Oh, how fortunate you are to have beautiful parquet flooring! I did a little looking around the web and discovered that the wood used to make parquet floors is thinner than the wood used for regular hardwood floors and, while they are sealed, you have to be a bit careful about using too much water. I also discovered that it's important to get any 'grit' off of the floor before you mop it to prevent scratches. Here's the article I found.
