We have a white sticky substance on bedroom wall what is it?
When we painted our bedroom with a good quality paint, shortly after it developed this white sticky substance all over the walls. I've washed it down with a bleach mixture, but it came right back. What is it and how do I fix it? I'm at a loss of what to do. We don't have this anywhere else in our house.

Has happened to me before. I some how had a leak in my wall. the sticky came from the paint and drywall. I would feel the wall does it feel cool or damp? Those also are signs
probably glue residue from a previous wallpaper......if plaster, scrub off, if drywall,scrape clean and resurface
