There are lots of great new sofa and reclining chair throws/covers online and in home stores, so that can be "no sew". Or visit a fabric store for end pieces for arm covers. Lots of new exciting fabrics to have cut to size and throw on.
You can purchase slip covers for just about any style sofa or chair. Good Luck!
The best and least expensive cover is a sheet of bedspread, or even lightweight dropcloth. But I'm order for it to look best, you must tuck the fabric into the creases of the sofa, and wrap the excess around the back of each section and pin it. If you use drop cloth, it can be dyed, and it is washable.
