Is your pine tree dying? It could be a pine beetle infestation affecting it.
I have the same problem, it is very expensive to have a professional spray, a friend had this done, for many years ago it was already $2,000. for only one tree. This problem with pine tree's, if neighbors have the same tree's and do not spray, you will not get the problem solved, and that is in my case.
Rathenswer this Hometalker's question!
Rather than worry about the cost, you have to first find the problem. Yes, there are serious pests that have invaded pine trees and untreated you can lose your trees. Ask your local nursery to recommend an arborist to check it out. I use SavATree. The cost may not be as much as you fear, and whatever it is, it could be worth it.
