Say "Night, Night" LOL NO I'm just KIDDING. I just couldn't help myself. Putting your garden to bed is a phrase that is used to get your garden ready for winter. I'm starting that now in my garden. I started by simply putting a lot of my garden decorations away after cleaning them up. I also am trimming certain plants back, mulching some and covering anything that needs covering to protect it in the winter. Here's an article that I found that will give you more professional advice.

I chop everything down and let it lay there. Pull up all stakes, cages, and twine to put away for the season. Sometimes cover the bed with a layer of clean wheat straw if the mulching straw has gotten sparse. Then I start perusing the seed catalogue.😏
