Hi Tina, the first question I would ask is "Is your drywall painted?" If it is, you should be able to clean it with your favorite cleaning solution. If your drywall is not painted, you can still clean it using your cleaner and a DAMP (not dripping wet) sponge or cloth. If the stains don't come out, it's time to paint that drywall. First prime in to lock in the color of those left over stains (assuming you got it as clean as you could), then paint what ever color you like. If it's an area that gets a lot of spills and dirt, I'd suggest a semi-gloss paint to make it easier to clean in the future.
I had a friend re-do our upstairs bathroom a few months back. He left a trail of splashed grout on the walls from top to bottom of stairs. I used this site to clean it up best I could. A cellulose sponge and water, sometimes a little vinegar, or mild dish soap as well. It took me several go-overs before I got the grout spills all off.

Is it Unpainted? You can brush it off and wipe it with a soft clean cloth but if spills have soaked in to the paper, they are permanent.
