flat bottom for good contact, nothing worped or uneven. I grew to dislike that stove....I like my gas burners. Best is subjective...the bottom of the pan has to have full contact To the burner. My cast iron pans and glass were ok ...no aluminum pan would cook evenly.

At any store that sells cookware, look on the label. There are icons showing the various kinds of stove tops which that particular cookware can be used on. If your kind (glass cooktop) is not shown on the label, then it can't be used on a glass cooktop.
