What is the best solution for changing trim color throughout house?

We are purchasing a house with wood windows and trim that is stained. I would like to change the color. Not sure if I really want to paint it as it is in the mountains and I want to have a rustic feel. Ease of application will be a big bonus due to the number of windows and size of house.
