What is your question exactly? Please specify.
I'm not sure what your question is...but if you are asking if it is possible to put barn wood on top of an island...yes. You can use pieces of barn wood to cover the top of a kitchen island. I would sand them to make sure they are smooth, and then attach them with screws. This will give your island a nice, farmhouse look.
Ooh ok. Good idea. Take the pallets apart, making sure not to break any of the boards. The boards will then all need to sanded And stained or sealed with your choice of product. Then you can start to attach them to your island. You will probably have to piece the boards together a little to get a good fit.
