Some electronics get static electrical problems, and memory chips can become full. Unplug the unit for 60 secs. then plug back in to see if it resolves the problem. Does your unit have a backup battery, change it.
If not, call the phone service, as no dial tone indicates thats what it might be. If the phone service claims its not them, contact the manufacturers' technical support line.
