Outline the doormat with hot glue (assuming it's a kind of fabric that will take the hot glue). Once it cools, return to the floor. The added friction should keep the doormat from sliding around.

Hi! A hack I started using years ago was HOT GLUE. I began using it on the bottoms of my toddlers sockies to keep them from slipping on our tile floors. I now use it on the bottom of bath mats and larger area rugs to hold them in place. Hugs...!
double- sided carpet tspe will hold mat in place
Velco. Use the "grip" side and use extra glue (even though it already has a sticky surface) to attach to the door mat. No need to use the "smooth" side. The velco will grip the carpet.
You can use double sided carpet tape to keep the mat from sliding around as well as a rug pad cut to size.
Very welcome!
