Hire a professional exterminator. Clean your home thoroughly. Take your pet or pets to the vet to be de-flea-ed. Then flea collars for your pets. Have your grass spayed. A pro is experienced at finding the source. Good Luck.
Bug spray if that don't work take a low pan fill with water put cooking oil into set on floor turn off all light but set a lamp next to oil pan it worked for me
Vets sell spray for getting rid of fleas in your home. Ask yours what they recommend.
There is a chemical and I know everything is supposed to be natural, but fleas are natural and I wouldn't want them is my house ever. You can get it at the feed stores it is called 38.38. Farmers use it to control termites. You can mix some in a spray bottle and spray everything. It does not stain furniture or walls. it is a poison so be careful . It will dry in about 2 hrs. One treatment can last years unless washed off. So you can spray your rug too. This will kill roaches, spiders, ants etc. If you have a small child or pets I would only spray the front of the furniture and behind the couches. The edge of walls. Fleas will be in the middle of a room but eventually go to the edges. Spray your yard and the outside of doors and walkways. Good luck
Hi Betty, the best way to get rid of fleas in your home is with flea bombs - one for each room and while you‘re out of the house while they do their thing you can spray your pets & give them a flea tablet because unless you do that you’re just inviting them back in again.
Good luck Betty
Best thing that works for me is to shampoo your pets with flea shampoo (I always sent them to the groomer). And vacuum, vacuum, vacuum, including chairs and beds, etc., ALL soft surfaces. Don't give them a chance to make more fleas!
You can use salt on everything, leave it for a few months (fleas hatch every 7 days). Vaccum everything and often after that. Keep dog dipped and treat with trifextia. 😊
Flea shampoos and powders do not last very long so I use Nexgard which is an oral flea and tick medication you get at the vets. I also use an environmental spray recommended by the vet to spray along all the baseboards and under furniture. Next and importantly is vacumning the house. Once you are done vacumning empty the bag or the container in the garbage outside. Never let it sit in as the fleas are still alive.
thank you to all who answered my question. I have had an exterminator come out and spray and I also had my pet treated. But I still have a flea problem. I'm going to try the advice of the writer who suggested 38.38. Thank you
It's a long drawnout process but Goggle it or call your vet. Don't forget to turn off your gas outlets if you use bombs.
