Best inexpensive fence for dogs?

My back fence was rotted so i removed it several years ago. Now that ive adopted a 1yr old Husky x Sheppard , i need to replace it. He seems to be able to twist and writhe through any space his head will fit through, he thankfully hasn't yet fgured out digging under but i am told huskys he will in time :( sure He can climb and get over temporary barricades up to 4 ft high. All this in pursuit of squirrels. I'm looking to build the most cost effective ( aka cheapest) fence possible across backyard, approx 64 ft. Suggestions please.?

Having has a Shepard/Husky mix, I know what you are going through. Yes, they dig, jump and are very active dogs that need a job to keep their minds busy. If you want the cheapest, I would install woven wire fencing, then I would use and electric wire strung across the top and the bottom. You can get woven wire fencing in 100 ft rolls. Electric wire is not cruel. It only takes a few shocks for them to learn - especially when you are not at home to watch them. Better that than run over by a car.
This seems an ideal place to use an "invisible fence". Buried cable and dog collar that gives a reminder to the dog when he gets too close to the cable. After the dog gets accustomed to where he is allowed and not allowed to be you can likely quit using the system as my friend did. In two years I've known her the poodle knows where she can and cannot go and the system has been inoperable the whole time.
Invisible fencing is only good for dogs that are not prey driven. If they go after squirrels or rabbits, they can and will run through the fencing. Then sit outside whining to get back in. :) I speak from experience with shaved necks, longer shocks, stronger shocks and the fencing now sits on a shelf in my garage. Paula has a Shepard/Husky mix - large, furry, independent minded.
She does not remember the cost. She's an excellent CPA but does not remember prices of anything. I looked at Home Advisor and they give a price around $350 for the package plus installation. Installers adverting on-line all omit pricing from their sales pitch. All that tells me is that I should look elsewhere because if you have to ask...
As a comparison, I recently had 100 feet of split rail installed, which would not be enough to hold your dog in, and it was $1000. Makes the invisible fence seem like a bargain if all you need is to keep the dog at home. In my case the neighbors refused to wear the "special" collars so I installed the wooden fence.
