Craft ideas for sonic tubes?

I have two sonic tubes that are about 36 inches long, 2.5 inches in diameter and very sturdy. They are like rolls that wrapping paper is on but larger. Any crafty ideas?

Janet, you are a fraud. With your over 100 answers a day, you manipulate the program for attention. You click onto new postings as soon as they appear but then answer them much later. This gives you 'first to answer' position'. but it is a fraud, manipulating the system to get you attention. You are one sick woman to need to play such tricks on Hometalk to maintain some position of attention and importance.

  • I made a Christmas village on some shelving and used those really heavy tubes as columns for support in the shelves. I wrapped them in white glitter felt and they look great. You can probably use them as table legs. Mine were much thicker than a regular tube that I had to use a saw to cut them. If you cut them into pieces of various heights, I am sure you can make them into desk or craft organizers.

Thanks for the great ideas. Mine are also the heavy ones that would need sawing to cut them.

You could stand them on end and glue together with a thin top to make an end table,or lay on side and help a grand child or child staying in out of the rain to build a "log" cabin playhouse. They could be used for children's home made furniture like lounge chairs for a sitting area in their play area. There are all kinds of contact paper that could be applied to them to really color and decorate them nicely for the children.

Great idea about the small end table. I know I have a place for one! Thanks for your help.

Paint them white and add red ribbon to make candy canes for your yard.
