Try some baking soda in the pan, fill with water just past the burnt level. Simmer for 10. minutes. Scrape and lift of the burnt part. Repeat if necessary.
Try any form of tomato...juice, diluted paste or sauce...and cook it in your pot. The acid in the tomatoes has usually done the trick for my "cooking fiascos ".
