Once a month, just as a precaution, I pour 1/2 cup of Dawn soap down each drain, followed by about a gallon of water that I had heated very hot on the stove. Keeps them running smoothly and no plumber's bills.

Drains? Smelly, clogged, plumbers crack?😉 Ok smelly: baking soda and vinegar. Pour baking soda in drain, add white vinegar, let bubble, plug drain to hold mix. Let sit for ? Rinse/drain with hot water. Clogged. A snake after trying with some kind of draino, ect.

Be careful using hot water in drains. You can crack porcelain sinks with very hot water heated on the stove. And then you'll have to pay the big bucks.
