If you have a small budget, go to several places that sell carpeting, and ask if they have any carpet they can sell you really cheap. If their huge storeroom is in the back of the store--great! They always seem to have a carpet someone ordered but then cancelled for some reason. Or a huge roll of some color almost nobody bought but it's taking up too much room in their storeroom. You should have the measurements of every room you need to cover. And you should be talking to the manager, owner or hungriest salesperson in the place. You need to be ready to choose and pay for the carpet, pad and any other charges. But be prepared to negotiate with a smile. If you are offered 20% more carpet than you need for $4 a yard, take it all, but offer $3 a roll and ask for free delivery. If it's purple with gold specks, fall in love with purple.

Just what we have done in the past, including for our church. Best wishes 😇💞

If I understand correctly plywood stays. Paint it and seal it so that it doesn't get scratched. Be prepared for all of the staples ,personally I wouldn't fill those tiny holes because I think that floor will look odd with filler unless you pick a light color paint. On this site you can find many people who have done this and things came out great. Look it up on this site just do a search you will be amazed as well as confident that you can do this and you might be happier with this floor that anything else.

you can buy paper bag material at home stores, or buy packing brown paper at Dollar Store, or get all your groceries packed in paper.
