How high can you build the sides of a tile shower?
I have a walk in shower I'd like to expand and I'm interested in making the sides almost bathtub height (at least 8-10 inches). I've been told you "can't do this" but not why or what the limit is. I'd like to hear from someone who has done this or who knows the reason why not.

Thanks for that link...it has lots of great information, but I'm still trying to figure out a maximum height for the threshold...the part you step over to get into the shower.
You can build as high as you like as long as you waterproof. But think ....if you were to have a broken leg, hip or knee replacement would you really want a step over to be that high.
