Annuals
Anemone
That is a perennial
Hello Monique.nault :) The fact they keep returning on their own each year lets me know they are indeed perennials, as you have stated, and not annuals which need replanting each year. They look to me like ANEMONES, however I wouldn't swear to it, as I am not a botanist ;) If anyone else has the answer, it would be interesting to see if I am correct or not. Thanks for asking HOMETALK for identification of this beautiful flowering shrub :)
rose of sharon
The flowers and the leaves look like my Queen Charlotte. This is mine. It bloomed during the eclipse this year.
I have had these in my garden for years, yes they are a perennial, very hardy and will spread to form a lovely display, I only know them as Japanese Anemone. Love them they give a beautiful display all summer long.
It is an anemone they come in white as well x
it would be nice if you mentioned which ZONE you are in: (part of the country)
Nice pictures, tho.
They are Japanese Anemones. I have them in my garden.
Anemone is correct. There is a bulb by the same name, but it is small and blooms in the spring.
