My kitchen cabinets are embarrassingly greasy. Please share your degreasing tips with me so I don't have to cringe every time I glance at my cabinets.
1/4 Vinegar & 3/4 club soda. Pour on spot give a couple of minutes then use white towel to sponge up. Great for dog ok for cat urine.
As all household produts say, test in closet or inconspicuous area to make sure does not harm your carpet.
Hello Gpdad2, The following link tells you how to get rid of pet stains easily, and once the stain is gone, hopefully the odor will be too:

IF the odor continues, then it is most likely in the pad or the underlying subfloor, so you will have to pull up the carpeting and treat the pad, and the subfloor too (as long as you have the carpeting pulled up). The following link addresses cat urine on/in wood flooring, andI figure that since cat urine is so much stronger than dog urine, if it works for cat urine it will work for dog urine: https://www.wikihow.com/Remove-Cat-Urine-from-Wood-Floors
AND IF the odor STILL remains that means it has soaked INTO the subfloor, and THAT means the floor itself will have to be sanded in the spot where the urine soaked in (you can find that spot (or spots) exactly with a black light in the dark room. Lightly sand the subfloor where the spots are located and wipe them down, chiecking again with the black light to be sure all the urine stain is gone, then you can refinish and seal thefloor where you had to sand. Whether your pet is a dog or a cat these things should work for you, so, GOOD LUCK DAD! Thanks for asking HOMETALK for help in removing pet odor from carpet.
Try Natures Miracle available at pet stores
Hello. I put backing soda on the carpet and let it sit for about an hour. Then I vacuum it up and spray the carpet with Lysol. Not too much so it isn't wet.
Make sure your soap is high in enzymes , or replace it with laminate or wood flooring
hope you own the home --- replace the carpet -- and HOPE there was a moisture barrier between the padding and the subfloor -- if not, the urine owder will have soaked into the wood sub floor and you'll virtually never get it out. MercolaPets.com has an odor enzyme that you might want to try --
The worst part is that it probably went the carpet, padding and on whatever is below. This article has 5 different ways, but if it's been there a while you will probably need an enzyme product. (Ask at your pet store)
