I would suggest keeping them in bins with lids when not being played with, and putting them in the containers at the end of the day. That way, they have a home and can be easily moved out to the car (or garage if there is one) for showings. People want to see lots of storage space, so the less storage being used the better (and bigger) it will look. Plus the containers will be easy for the move.
I purchased a large plastic tote that has wheels. All toys go in and it can be rolled out to the garage when company comes over.

A storage ottoman for the living room (not too big).. also she is going to have to pack up at some point... use plastic storage bins and pack up most of the toys especially the larger ones and store them in the garage or a storage unit. Buyers want to see uncluttered space
I put my son's outside toys in brand new trashcans with secure lids so he didn't have to keep dragging them outside and back inside when finished playing.
Thank you for all the wonderful ideas. i bought 2 out door garden storage benches and put them in the play room. bought 2 ottoman storage and put books on the top of one and a vase of fake flowers on the other. it made a great reading area for my daughters kids I put all the toys out side in plastic garbage cans and put them against the garage. things are really starting to get cleaned up now--THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
