I have old 2.5 inch x 2.5 inch negatives that I want to convert without purchasing expensive scanner like Epson v600 scanner

if you have a printer it may also be a scanner. Check the owners manual.
It might be just as cheap to take them into a Office Max or Staples and have them scan them onto a thumb drive... Not every scanner will scan old style negatives.
