Any inexpensive ideas for windows for privacy in front of house?

I put up sheer curtains in my front windows. They are on the same rod as the drapes, as the drapes are only on the ends for decor since we have blinds also. I found inexpensive sheers with a little decor on them from JC Penny's online. I love them. They come in all kinds of colors and decor. Our son's room is nature themed so I found sheers with one "tree"from top to bottom that branches across the whole window. He loves it! His bedroom is on the front of the house also. This affords him privacy in the daytime. At night he closes his blinds.

I purchased a window film from Amazon that looks great, it actually appears as if its a designer window, several varieties to choose from, and was inexpensive. I have a large window immediately adjacent to my front door, it covered it perfectly. You simply have to know the dimensions for ordering the correct roll.

put this in the "next project" section of Hometalk - there is a nice tutorial where a woman cut diamond shapes out of frosted contact paper and put them on the side front door windows. Light comes in and you can see out.

consider using a frosted contact paper without too much design to it or find a lace/net piece of material that can be put on the window...you attach the fabric to the window by using a cornstarch and water paste to adhere it...

You can also buy spray frost for your windows. It washes off when you are ready to get rid of it.
