stick three toothpicks into seed putting base end in water, the toothpicks holding the top end out of the water...set in window.
Thay die in cold temps... just FYI, don't expect much north of Florida.
I dumped a few pits in soft soil outdoors... now I have 5 in NJ... expect I'll take 1 or 2 in soon... getting too cold for them (40 degF will damage them)

you bon't get fruit takes two plants and they make large trees -- temporary house plants due to size ... plant pit in good quality potting soil, pointed end down, crown just barely under the surface -- keep moist but not wet/soggy
