Heat gun and long-handled scraper
Fun times it ain't. There is a scraper blade made for a multi-tool. That is what I would use.
My mom had this problem. We sprayed the floor with contractors strength Goo Gone and let it soak a while. Do it in sections so you're not stepping in the wet areas. We had a broom sized scraper (Home Depot) that was used to scrape the glue up. Depending on how much glue there is you may have to repeat process several times.
