A drop of liquid super glue on the knots and gel super glue in the end caps.
I use cryoacrylate or CA glue on the elastic knots that I hide in beads or findings. You can get it at hobby stores in three strengths, fast, medium and slow. It is stronger than crazy glue, for hobbyists that do R/C airplanes and cars it is the best to use. Gorilla glue is good too, I use both depending on what I have available at the time. Tie your knot and find a bottle or jar that is large enough to stretch it a little to isolate the knot and put a drop on it that cover the knot and sinks into the knot. If you have a little too much, put a corner of paper towel on it to suck up a little. Once it dries, I cut the ends off the cord close to the knot. I use the silicone elastic cord as it takes more abuse and lasts longer. My bracelets are worn 24/7 and last about a year.
I make jewelry with all kinds of beads and findings. E600 will give a good hold. For beading thread, make a few knots then cut thread leaving a tiny tail. Use a lighter and burn the tail down to the knot. No glue required.
