Hang a chandelier? Use cord covers to hide wiring.
I did this in a townhouse with concrete ceilings. The homeowner had light fixtures, ceiling fans with cords taped and hanging from the ceilings in every room.. I installed Wiremold to the ceilings and walls to hide the wires in line with wall outlets. Added Wiremold extension boxes to the existing outlet boxes. She had the Wiremold painted to to match the ceiling and walls. You would need a shallow electrical box screwed into the ceiling where you want the light to mount it. Then the Wiremold from there. Bought everything at Home Depot.
You could use a beam.
