Hello Judy! Here are Hometalk’s suggestions for repurposing your shutters:

A corner shelf. Connect the shutters and add shelves.
You can make shelves out of them by putting L brackets under them and have them attach to the wall so that you can set things on them. We used them in the laundry room with the slots in the louvers fitting the hangers perfectly to hang up clothing that cam out of the dryer. The shutters were placed at a 90 degree angle to the wall with the L-bracket attaching to the wall and to the shutter to be securely anchored. They can then be painted or left plain.

I recently saw a small(ish) coffee table made using wider (@16") trimmed down shutters as the end legs, full length ones as lower shelf AND a glass top within a picture frame enclosure. This one was left natural, appeared to have been lightly sanded and a matte-looking sealer applied to all the wood. The glass top frame appeared to be salvaged cedar fence slats ripped down. Nice mix of rustic and shabby/chique.
