I bought new battery just for solar lights .get at Wal-Mart or big box stores .clean panels with alcohol then put clear nail polish on panels .let alcohol dry first .Looks like new .had my solar lights long time .
If they still have good batteries keep them planted in pots or drill holes in the top if your fenice posts.
U tried to replace the batteries in a couple and the started soarking even though I ordered batteries that indicated they were specifically for solar lamps. DON‘T RISK A FIRE!!

I love to stick in potted plants. Can take left over wood blocks, paint and drill hole in top , remove post and glue solar light in hole. Put 3 together of different sizes and wrap rope around all to hold together and place on steps or around patio.

Do we assume that are not working? Have you thought of using them as containers once you take the gubbins out,or people (stuck in upside down Plant pots)? Other ideas if I can see a picture.....
Drilled out holes in top of wood fence and lights fit perfectly and give off nice glow. I hate to throw out anything that is still working!!
