your question was cut off.... exactly what do you want to know?
Hi Candace, Use a masonry bit to drill through your pottery containers.
Alternatively, you can put a layer of pebbles at the bottom of the pot. This is also a good drainage method.
Very carefully. I have my Hubby drill glass blocks to make Christmas decor. But I don't know it you can use water to keep the pottery cool, while drilling. He doesn't & we have good luck.. He uses a 1 1/2" bit. The kind yu use to do holes in the wall for blowing in insulation. Drill the lowest point, either the side or bottom, to be sure all water drains. But you may want smaller holes, put a coffee filter over the hole before you fill with dirt. keeps h2o draining, but dirt in.
My hubby starts with smaller drill bits and gets bigger until he has drainage holes the size needed. I always have him do smaller ones and do a few on smallish pots, more on larger spot. I like more than one hole in a pot myself. The way he does it, he hasn't cracked a pot yet, even the brittle plastic kind.
