In addition to Lulu's suggestions, you can use them for a number of crafts. Also, you can use clean metal cans to bake individual goodies for holiday giving, like brown bread, banana bread and such.

There are a number of craft ideas on Hometalk too. I used the phrase 'tin cans' because using 'cans' included huge trash/garbage cans. I did see a project that showed making lanterns out of them,I bought all the tools and now can't seem to find the instructions on the project can anyone help me. thank you
