What material is your sink?
"It is pretty well known that nail polish will stain surfaces. However, it is all too tempting to give yourself a manicure on the couch or a pedicure on your floor, leaving your surfaces vulnerable to spills. If you happen to accidentally stain your carpet, wood, couch, or some other surface, fear not. Chances are, you already have the solution to your problem lying around the house."

You left out the all important factor. What kind of sink? Stainless, cast iron, acrylic, or something else? Finger nail polish remover won't hurt the first two in the least. Only way to know for sure about other types of sinks is to try a small area. At this point the sink is ruined so it can only get better from here.
Use nonacetone remover on a qtip and rub the polish only. You didn't say what your sinks are made from so I don't recommend acetone remover.
nail polish remover (not straight acetone) like the wipes... should not effect a stainless steel sink.. but the polish may have stained and older enameled (cast iron) sink... use a q-tip and paper towels and go slow
Thanks everyone. It is a stainless steel sink.
