goobegone
Anything that will take off nail polish (acetone) will also remove the top finish from your hardwood floors. You could try warming it up with a blow dryer and very very very carefully scraping it off. If that doesn't work and acetone is your only option try to keep the area as contained as possible and use as little as you can. Once the nail polish is gone you can always replace the finish on your floors by brushing it on. We used poly acrylic on our floors but you will need to know what finish was used so you can replace it with the exact same thing.
Try Goo Gone. I removed a spill of gray nail polish I hadn't noticed. It was dry and I used Goo Gone to soften it and then a plastic scraper to scrape it off. It did not damage the finish on the floor.
Try WD-40
