Check out the products available from the company Smith and Noble. I have purchased from them before and was very satisfied. Also visit Next Day Blinds for ideas and product.
IDK what look you're going for, but the easiest and cheapest would be sheer drapes. Our family has also installed 2 different types of blinds from big box hardware stores. One is a cellular shade that can open from top or bottom with just a touch. The others, my favorites, are some woven bamboo shades that come in several wood-tone colors. You can see through them, so not good for bedroom, but I really like the look.
You might put some chatter windows
Roman shades (3) would look great here... and you can make them yourself... even if you can't sew... there are "no sew" versions out there.. Pinterest.com or Google search should give you instructions.. There are soooo many wonderful fabrics out there ... you could choose a fun one like birds in a tree.
Here is another idea for you too... hand plants in interesting wire baskets or assorted bird cages.. it will give interest to the window with out covering it up. (our outside walls are 7 ft. so the hangers are as high up as we could get them.
Do you need privacy or is this your backyard? If you need privacy I would use blinds and cafe curtains. If not skip the blinds and just use cafe curtains or sheers.
My daughter and husband just did this to a bay window. At Home Depot they look like wood shutters but made of vinyl easier cleaning, they looked great and depending on what you need it would look good in that area. Also my son n law did it himself so it can't be that hard for ppl who are doing a kitchen redo
Good luck
I would use half curtains on the bottom for privacy and leave the top open for a modern bistro look that lets in some light.

You should get rid of the blinds and then either get curtains or fills, I don't exactly know what they are called but the things you can buy at the store and cut out to the window. You should get the ones where you can see out but no one else will see in.
If you don't need to have them closed for privacy, I love string curtains. Google "string curtains for sale". For privacy, I have 2 inch wood blinds behind them against the window.
