I just stuck mine under the kitchen faucet and used a q tip to get the dust/fur that was stuck. I stood it on a dishtowel and let it dry. Just did this the other day and it is fine.
Just dip in water with dishwashing liquid. Rinse shake - then let sit on a folded towel until dry. Remember it was in the ocean.
Compressed air also works well.
spray it with vinegar water.
Since coral grows and lives in water, it can be washed under running water. Gently.
Spraying with vinegea water is like killing an animal. . . . It will disolve the corral!!!!!!!
