  • Do your homework and read instruction manual. A friend just purchased one and spent a boatload of money, over $700 and come to find out you can only run it 90 minutes per day. Here is a link.

I am sorry that you do not like Robotic Vacuums. I am an 85 year old male and my wife needs a walker to walk. I thought it would save us a lot of effort in cleaning the house.

consumers reports has some good articles on which ones are good. Some get very good reviews. The newer ones have improved. Also, many elderly people have disabilities as well as being hard on your heart to vacuum. The one that works for you depends on the type of floors you have as well as the size. Good luck.

They're o.k. for light cleaning, and if you have furniture that the robotic vacuum can fit beneath. You'll still need an upright or canister for more thorough vacuuming, particularly if you have children or pets.

    Hello, sir,

Given your situation, the robotic vacuum may be of assistance to you, as it appears you may only need light cleaning. If your furniture does not touch the floor, you'll need to measure the maximum allowable height beneath your furniture pieces, to determine if the robotic vacuum would work for you and your wife.

If your end tables are placed very close to your chairs/sofa, you may need someone to move these pieces, so as to permit the vacuum better access to more floor surface area.

These vacuums need a space to dock and recharge, so you'd need to determine where you might locate it to keep it out of your walkpath.
